"Foods nobody has ever eaten together, for a hundred." ((Egg bake, radishes, microgreens, and regular sized greens.))
I broke down and googled a recipe. It called for garlic butter, which I felt was a safe bet for any unknown. ((It was not.)) ((I do not like radishes.)) ((Now I know.))
I didn’t know what to do with those tomatoes; they weren’t exactly tomato flavored... I’d figured I was pretty pumped for pico, and I’d had some peppers and onions, so I could probably produce a salsa...
I *think* these are called chocolate tomatoes. They were new to me, for sure. They didn’t really taste like any of the tomatoes I’d eaten before. And I wouldn’t say they were my favorite. But I ate ‘em.
I made another egg bake (with my sourdough bread and farm fresh eggs). It was delicious. That is all.
I got a bag of peppers. I don’t eat a lot of peppers. Jalapeños sometimes. I’ve had approximately six bell peppers this year. These are not those. I don’t know anything about these peppers. I don’t cook with peppers. This is a lot of fucking peppers...
CSA 4. It’s SO pretty. Let’s fuck it up!
Microgreens!!! I missed youuu!!!
The veggies in this dish are tbd; although technically, that meat is a veggie, and those potatoes are veggies too (and there’s mushrooms and onions in there) ((#veggies)).
When I got this box (bag), I asked my stories what to do with turnips (and that these were turnips, right?), and mostly you didn’t know, but we started to agree that they could be boiled and mashed like potatoes — so that’s what I did. ((Also, don’t worry, my bowl is on the pill.))
You know who likes cantaloupe? Other people.
I’d recently seen a woman on @thefeedfeed breaking down a cantaloupe, so I was feeling pretty (fucking) cocksure when this little fruit arrived ((they don’t like to be called that)). After I took the second photo, I...
CSA *bag* number 3. The strawberries were truly delicious. You are about to find out about the rest...
Arugula salad, topped with fried egg, and rested on a bed of bread and cheese. ((haaa.))
CSA box number two. Carrots again. More eggs. I'm going to have to make some salads. Glad I bought all those dressings.
I got a green bell pepper in my CSA box (which is really a bag), and I've only really made one thing with them so far, and that was chili. I'd also been given carrots, which the recipe calls for, so this is as creative as it gets this week ((bit of a repeat)).
